Andres Campero

Andres is Head of AI at Monashees based in the San Francisco Office. Before this Andres has been an AI Research Scientists interested in diverse questions at the intersection of cognitive science and machine learning. He has a PhD from the Brain and Cognitive Sciences Department (BCS) and the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT. For the last 10 years he has done research at various institutions including MIT, MILA, Redwood Research, Open Philanthropy, Facebook AI Research, and AE-Studio.

⁠Andres was founder and CEO of Stateoftheart AI (acquired by Instawork), has been advisor to a few companies, scout for a16z, and founding General Chair of AI research conference RIIAA with 6 conference editions in Mexico and Ecuador. He participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad representing Mexico (where he grew up), likes soccer, skiing, tennis, and poker.
